How to Care for Your Acrylic Decor

How to Care for Your Acrylic Decor

Acrylic pieces are designed to look beautiful for years, but keeping them crystal clear requires a little bit of care. Whether it’s one of our acrylic picture frames, trays, napkin holders, or home accessories, using the right products can help keep your pieces looking their best.

Skip the Windex

One of the most important things to remember when cleaning acrylic is to avoid Windex and other glass cleaners. While they may be your go-to for windows and mirrors, they aren't the best choice for acrylic.

Instead, we recommend using Pledge, Lavonte or Novus to gently clean and polish your acrylic pieces.

Put Down the Paper Towels

What you use to wipe your acrylic matters too. Paper towels can be more abrasive than they seem and may leave behind fine scratches over time.

Instead, reach for a soft microfiber cloth. Apply a small amount of Pledge or Lavonte and gently wipe your acrylic until it’s clean and polished.

A Little Care Goes a Long Way

The best part about acrylic? It’s incredibly easy to maintain. A quick clean with the right products is all it takes to keep your favorite pieces looking polished and ready to display.

The Tara Wilson Designs acrylic care formula is simple: Pledge and a microfiber cloth. No Windex. No paper towels.
